Orange Coast UUC Moves to a Bigger Property

February 18, 2013 | Filed under: Buying A Building, Church Construction

After 53 years in the same location, Orange Coast Unitarian Universalist Church in Costa Mesa, CA has purchased property with an existing building (still in Costa Mesa). The first service at this new location will be this coming Sunday, February 24.

According to this news article, Orange Coast UUC sold their current property for $2.25 million and bought the new property for $2.2 million. They have a $500,000 budget for renovating their sanctuary. In the meantime, they have plenty of additional space available, and their Social Hall will serve as the Temporary Sanctuary (photo below).

The announcement for this coming Sunday’s service, “Beginning a New Era,” touts the “ample parking,” one of the many benefits of the property.

MISTS sends hearty congratulations to Orange Coast UUC!

The Temporary Sanctuary (aka The Social Hall) seats 110 people, with room for 23 members of the choir on the risers.
