My Daily Log for Depression
Shared in my October 22nd sermon “Lessons from My Depression,” I kept a daily log during my episode of depression in order to track what was happening. I used a simple blank book and logged each day:
- What time I woke up
- What my exercise was (aiming for 30 minutes cardio daily)
- Sunshine, how many minutes of sunshine in my eyes (aiming for 30, no sunglasses)
- If I took a nap, what time, and how long
- Energy, using a score from 1-10
- Mood, using a score from 1-10
- What symptoms I felt that day
- What medication I took and when
- What time I went to bed (especially important if different medications are being tried)
